Mike Bloom, Founder and Managing Director of Piedmont M&A Advisors, is an experienced investment banker, commercial lender, and widely recognized leader in the southeastern financial community.

Mike works closely with privately-held, entrepreneurially led, and family-owned business owners to gain an understanding of their personal and financial goals in connection with a transaction.

Over the past 40 years, Mike has advised or financed clients in retail, distribution, technology, manufacturing, staffing firms, food services, real estate, and healthcare industries.

Prior to founding Piedmont M&A Advisors, Mike was Managing Director at Mazzone & Associates where he was responsible for managing sell-side, buy-side, and financing transactions. Mike served as Managing Director for EGL Holdings from 2002-2008 where he managed a wide range of corporate finance transactions. He started his career with the C&S National Bank (now Bank of America), where he served as Senior Vice President. Over 20 years later, Mike was asked to take leadership positions with Wynn Salon Services, Intellimedia Sports, Inc. and Sunbelt Acceptance Corporation. In addition, he completed strategic consulting assignments with Manheim Automotive Financial Services and MAC Printing Corporation.

Mike has leadership experience in corporate finance and as an operational consultant, including leading international and domestic marketing and sales organizations. Mike is actively involved with Vistage and is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG). He is a past member of the Georgia Manufacturing Alliance (GMA) and he has served in leadership roles with the Atlanta Chamber of Commerce. Mike is a recognized speaker on the topic of buying and selling businesses within the Metro Atlanta and southeastern community.

Mike has an MBA in Finance from Georgia State University and received his BS in Industrial Management from The Georgia Institute of Technology. He is also a graduate of Leadership at the Peak, Colorado Springs, Colorado.

Mike has a passion for financial education and has co-authored two business books: Analyzing Financial Statements (2nd Edition) for the American Bankers Association and The Seller’s Guide for Middle Market Companies eBook with Josh Bennett. In his free time, Mike enjoys bass fishing – both catching and dining. Mike lives in Atlanta with Thor, his five-year-old Golden Retriever and loyal companion, who remains unimpressed by transaction multiples but highly enthusiastic about long walks and tennis balls.
